The book starts off with a boy who is ordinary but later is found to be Poseidon’s son. The children of the Gods are called Demigods. Percy and all his friends have to embark on a dangerous journey to save the world. Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is a masterpiece that shows us adventures that seem so unreal becoming true. This piece of art was written by Rick Riordan, who is not an ordinary author. It shows us the true beauty of the Greek culture and teaches us a lot about the stories of Greek mythology. The book itself is extremely engaging and it involves the Greek gods so often that at the end of the series you will be able to point every god out.
The book Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief shows us that you should always face all your problems with confidence. With your friends by your side, everything is possible. Percy and his friends fight numerous enemies on their way. They face off against some of the strongest enemies and defeat all of them with teamwork and confidence. The main message of this book is that true friendship is the best way to success.
This book is not the best choice for people who don’t understand Greek Mythology properly. Before reading the book, I’d like to recommend everyone to watch a few videos about Greek mythology. The book itself is extremely indulging but its not the best choice for people who are not familiar with Greek mythology. The book even though teaches us a lot is going to be really hard to understand if you are not familiar with Greek mythology.
In a nutshell, this book is really great and teaches us a lot about friendship through wonderful fantastical journey of sons and daughter of gods in the contemporary era. Overall, the book is great and the author has done a great job in its creation. I rate it 4.5 out of 5, thus, I recommend you to read it.
